John Karakash

John Karakash

Developer

After a career in the outdoors and boiler rooms, it was time to start updating an old idea for making tarps stay in place better and last longer. The original problem was keeping a fishing boat covered under a tree. It’s a Real Cinch is the result.

Marketing Director

Founded and operates Tall Pines Farm Stoves and Fireplaces in Kingsley, PA. George loves his grandson and his tractor. His tarp experience, beyond covering wood piles, led to his interest in and joining the It’s a Real Cinch project.

"Contract landscape’s been my work. I wish my crews could have had this Cinch thing twenty years ago. Leaf cleanup used to mean big, heavy tarps corner tied into "rabbit ears" knots that got so tight they would not come loose when dragged to the truck. Your Real Cinch is really better. Two things together make it special. First, the Cinch closes the tarp right and doesn’t rip. AND it releases faster and easier than tight rabbit ear knots ever did. I’m sold. "

"I tried this product three ways – on a ripped tarp, a tarp with missing eyelets and a sheet of clear plastic. It worked well in each case. Both cable and block seem to be made of strong materials. I changed the connection point for tie downs to my tarps in seconds. I am always covering wood and machinery at my camp. This product will save me time and hold a tarp better in strong winds. I give it 5 stars!"

"My farm tarps get rough treatment. Cinched around your "block", my tarps hardly ever rip now. Wind flapping tears almost never happen now, with an almost custom fit I get with It’s a Real Cinch"

"I mostly use tarps for yardwork and to cover things I’m moving with my pick-up. Your Cinch is super easy to use. My tarps are lasting longer, but more important, It’s a Real Cinch makes it easier to adapt my tarp and connector straps to fit what I’m doing each time, and the uses vary every time."
